Barton Legal expands marketing and PR capability
It’s all systems go at Barton Legal as Kathryn Collington joins the team as a Marketing Consultant and we start to work with London-based communications agency Farrer Kane. Both appointments mark a first for the firm and reflect our recent growth, which is typified by our successful involvement in the first entirely remote Technology and Construction Court trial in English legal history.
Kathryn will be spearheading our marketing strategy: overseeing branding and events. She brings with her over a decade of experience in marketing and business development, having held similar roles at AEW Architects and Austin:Smith-Lord. We are delighted to have her on board.
Meanwhile, Farrer Kane will be providing strategic communications advice, building on the work it undertook with the firm following its settlement in the TCC. Farrer Kane draws on its extensive experience of working with clients in both the legal and construction sectors, and will be focusing on continuing to build Barton Legal’s media and social media footprint within these industries.
Bill Barton, Director at Barton Legal, said: “These are uncertain and potentially turbulent times. But with this, also lies opportunity, not just for Barton Legal, but for the entire legal sector, to lead the way when it comes to developing innovative legal solutions. We are privileged to be investing in the growth of our business in the current climate, and these appointments reflect our long-term confidence in our business, as well as the British construction and legal industries more broadly.”
Kathryn Collington, Marketing Consultant at Barton Legal, said: “I was drawn to Barton Legal not only because of its people-oriented, inclusive and socially-responsible ethos, but because it applies these same values to its clients. I hope that this appointment will build on Barton Legal’s existing foundation, which includes a wealth of experience and a significant client base.”
Beth Farrer, Director at Farrer Kane, said: “Barton Legal is an exciting firm; a crystallisation of the power of innovation within the legal sector. It’s a firm with an interesting story, and one that we are very much looking to forward to help tell with the media and via social media. We have extensive experience in the construction and legal sectors, so to have the chance to marry the two so closely is ideal.”
